Frequently Asked Questions

Permanent Jewelry FAQs

  • Simply put: it’s jewelry without the clasp! The bracelet, anklet or necklace is expertly fitted to you and the ends are safely welded together, while on your body, to eliminate the need for a clasp (although we offer those, too!) We’re all about making accessorizing EASIER!

  • During your appointment, you will choose from our selection of chains to find one (or more!) that you love. You can also select charms to personalize your jewelry. Not sure what you want? Let us help you!

Once we’ve designed your perfect piece of jewelry, our team will ask you questions about your preferences and lifestyle to suggest the perfect fit. We let you move around to ensure you love the fit before cutting the jewelry chain.

We then attach the ends of the jewelry chain together using a tiny jewelry spot welder and creating the permanent fit. While the process is quick and simple, we take measures to protect your skin JUST in case, by using a small leather patch under the chain when we weld to serve as a barrier. If you want to watch the weld, we also provide a pair of sanitized safety glasses to protect your eyes from the flash. We then remove the leather patch and your safety glasses and you’re done!

  • As long as you want it to! Our jewelry is low-maintenance and made from quality material that can withstand daily wear for the long term, so while some of our clients prefer to switch their jewelry out with the seasons, others wear their pieces for years.

  • All of our permanent jewelry chains and charms are .925 Sterling Silver or Gold Filled. Gold filled is NOT gold plated jewelry. Our gold filled jewelry is a thick layer of 14k gold that is mechanically heat-bonded to a jeweler’s brass core. This creates the strength and affordability that solid gold does not, while still remaining a quality piece of jewelry that is a great choice for permanent jewelry.

  • Not at all. We call it permanent because we attach the ends of the jewelry together, but no part of the process involves attaching jewelry to your skin. After we have sized your jewelry to fit you perfectly, I put a small piece of leather between the bracelet and your skin to serve as a protective barrier (just in case! The spark from the welder is very small.) as well as offer you protective welding glasses for your eyes if you would like to watch the spark. I then use my micro welder to apply one small zap to the jewelry to ensure it is closed together nicely and will not easily break.

  • Removal is easy! Simply use scissors to cut the jewelry at the site of the weld. Hang on to it so that we can reweld it for you or put a clasp on it for future use.

  • While we do not offer refunds, we stand behind our products and will offer a replacement piece for defective jewelry in the first 30 days. The warranty does not cover damage from normal wear and tear or excessive strain on the piece. Repairing a piece of jewelry that had to be removed or broke is always free, as long as you still have the chain and it is not damaged beyond repair.

  • We will do permanent jewelry on anyone over the age of 16. With parent/guardian consent, we will put jewelry on anyone over age 12. Our jewelry is not intended for children under 13.

  • We love parties and would be honored to be a part of your next event. We simply ask that there are a minimum of 5 people/pieces sold. Fill out our Permanent Jewelry Party Interest Form or call, text or email to book! 720-808-1205 or adornablepj@gmail.com

  • We are so proud to have opened up a small permanent jewelry studio in Parker, CO. While we are open by appointment only, we've got plenty of appointments throughout the day, evening, and weekends, including same-day appointments! Don’t see the appointment time you were hoping for? • Permanent jewelry is wonderful because of its low maintenance. Your care kit came with a jewelry polishing cloth, but you can also use Dawn Dish Soap, toothpaste and a soft-bristled toothbrush, or any jewelry cleaner. For severely tarnished jewelry, we recommend Tarn-X, which can be found on Amazon, at Walmart or at any hardware store.

  • This is very normal and does not mean your permanent jewelry has “turned.” We guarantee the quality of our pieces. A black ring, or metallic abrasion, can happen with the finest pieces of jewelry and is normally a result of body chemistry, sweat, buildup of dirt, lotions, perfumes, etc. It is not harmful and can be washed right off of your skin. When this happens, we do recommend giving your permanent jewelry a thorough cleaning with either Dawn Dish Soap or toothpaste and a soft bristled toothbrush.

  • Nope! Our clients love to travel and airport security does not require you to remove your permanent jewelry.

  • Possibly. Be sure to connect with your doctor. If you do need to remove your permanent jewelry, simply cut it off at the tiny ring we used to weld it together and keep the chain. When you are ready, we can reattach it.

  • I would be happy to! Whether your permanent jewelry was done by me or by someone else, I want you to love it. Stop by a market, or book a repair/reweld appointment and we will get your permanent jewelry back on and sized perfectly for you!

  • I do! I make and sell the sterling silver and 14k gold-filled stretchy bracelets for several other businesses at wholesale pricing. If that is something you are interested, please send an email to adornablepj@gmail.com for more information and to get access to the wholesale website.

Ear Piercing FAQs

  • Boutique-style piercing is a personalized, curated approach to ear piercing that focuses on creating a stylish and intentional look tailored to your preferences, using ultra-thin earring posts. It’s not just about adding holes; it’s about designing a cohesive and fashionable arrangement of earrings that suits your individual style. My goal is to provide a safe, comfortable experience while helping you achieve a beautiful, curated ear that feels uniquely you.

  • No. We use an FDA-approved, hand-pressured medical device designed for precision, safety, and comfort. This device is not spring-loaded like traditional piercing guns. It provides a quiet and gentle piercing experience, mitigating many of the concerns with traditional spring-loaded piercing guns, including loud, startling noises, uncontrolled force, and cross-contamination.

Our instrument uses a single use stud-and-clasp system, and is designed to let the trained ear piercer gently guide the piercing earring into the lobe with the pressure and speed that the piercer uses on the instrument.

We do not use hollow needles like a body piercing or tattoo studio would use. If you prefer the hollow needle method of piercing, we have a local body piercer that we know and trust and would be happy to refer you to.

  • We offer piercing services for earlobes only. This includes first, second, and third lobe piercings, as well as fun, curated earlobe piercing combinations. If you’re looking to add stylish and intentional piercings to your lobes, we’ve got you covered!

  • The piercing instrument, earrings, and cleaning solution are all made in a medical-grade facility to ensure the highest level of safety and hygiene. The device is specifically designed with a disposal cartridge to avoid any cross-contamination. No part of the cartridge or earring comes into human contact before or during the process, making the entire process sterile and safe.

  • My studio is a quiet space, and I currently offer piercing services for teens and adults only. Unfortunately, I cannot accommodate young children for piercings at this time. Children under 6 will be considered on a case-by-case basis, please reach out to talk more about scheduling your child at adornablepj@gmail.com or 720-808-1205.

  • For the safety of my clients, I do not pierce pregnant women. If an infection were to occur, antibiotics might not be an option during pregnancy, and I want to ensure the best care for everyone.

  • This hand-pressured medical device provides a quiet, gentle, and precise piercing experience. Unlike spring-loaded guns, it minimizes tissue trauma, ensuring faster healing. The process is designed to be as comfortable as possible while maintaining a sterile environment.

  • Hollow needles are a common and safe option for body piercings, but they’re not the only safe method. The FDA-approved, hand-pressured medical device we use is specifically designed for earlobe piercings and provides a safe, sterile, and precise alternative. It minimizes tissue trauma, avoids cross-contamination, and ensures a gentle experience while maintaining the highest safety standards.

If you are more comfortable getting pierced with a hollow needle, a tattoo shop or body piercing facility will be able to provide that method of piercing for you, and we have a referral for our favorite local body piercer, so please reach out and we will send you their information!

  • We use earrings made in a medical-grade facility to ensure safety and comfort. These earrings are hypoallergenic, with ultra-thin posts and finely-honed tips, and specially designed for the healing process. The quality of our earrings is one of the things we are most proud of and what makes us stand out. Not only are our earrings made in a medical-grade facility, but they are tested to ensure they meet even the most rigid quality standards, including guaranteeing they are free of nickel.

You will have a choice of stainless steel, gold-plated surgical steel, or titanium, which is a great option for anyone who has experienced metal sensitivities in the past.

In fact, so many of our clients have reported that our earrings are the only ones that their ears can tolerate, they we’ve started carrying additional styles for retail that can be used after the original piercing has healed!

  • After your piercing, I will provide detailed aftercare instructions and a medical-grade cleaning solution. Following these instructions will help ensure your piercing heals properly and stays infection-free.

  • If you notice signs of infection, such as redness, swelling, warmth, pain, or unusual discharge, please contact a healthcare professional immediately. Continue cleaning your piercing with the provided solution and avoid touching it with unwashed hands. Prompt attention can help prevent further complications. Your doctor will be able to provide the best medical advice.

We take great pride in having the safest jewelry that meets the highest quality standards. If you feel that you are having a reaction to the earring itself, please contact your doctor or urgent care first, but then let us know about any adverse reaction to the earrings so that we can report the concern to our jewelry manufacturer.
