Love a Little Harder This February

I love February. It’s my birthday month, Adornable’s anniversary month, the Big Game, and Valentine’s Day! I know that when we think Valentine’s, we think romantic love. But this February, I invite you to celebrate your friends. These are the people we choose to love, that support us, make us laugh, and that we probably don’t celebrate often enough. Friends just make life better.

This year, February carries an even deeper meaning for me. I’ve recently lost one of my dearest friends and it has been a stark reminder that time is precious and fleeting. Too often, we assume we’ll always have another chance—to call, to send a text, to make time for the people who mean the most to us. But the truth is, love should never be something we put off.

So, this month, in memory of my friend, I’m choosing to love harder. To celebrate the relationships that make life beautiful—not just romantic love, but friendship, family, and all the small but meaningful connections that deserve to be cherished.

Here are a few ways we can all show a little more love this month:

  • Surprise a friend with a meaningful gift – Something small but significant, like permanent jewelry to symbolize an unbreakable bond.

  • Host a Galentine’s Day celebration – Gather your closest friends for a morning or evening of laughter, memories, and appreciation.

  • Write a heartfelt note – Tell someone how much they mean to you, just because. They might just hang on to it forever.

  • Prioritize time together – A simple coffee date, a phone call, or even a walk can mean the world to someone.

Love isn’t just a feeling—it’s something we actively give, express, and nurture. Let’s use February as a reminder to show up for the people who matter most and to never take those connections for granted.
